Morehouse General Hospital Patient Financial Services Department Awarded Overall Revenue Cycle Award For Second Year In A Row

Morehouse General Hospital’s Patient Financial Services Department (PFS) was recently honored as the recipient of the Alliant Management Services Overall Revenue Cycle Award for the second year in a row, highlighting their achievement in five healthcare industry key performance indicators (KPI’s). Morehouse General Hospital’s PFS team exceeded higher than the 90% established goal in all five KPI’S as defined by federal, state, and commercial insurance payers.  MGH PFS received this award out of nine Alliant Management Services managed rural hospitals located in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, and Illinois. Meeting or achieving these KPI’s is extremely instrumental in maintaining high standards for hospital reimbursement, essential to sustaining hospital operations for our community, stated Marian Sweet, Director of Revenue Cycle.  Sweet notes that the PFS team encompasses admissions, billing, insurance authorization, and is integral to the integrity healthcare account from the moment a patient sets foot in the door until their account is zeroed out.

Again, congratulations to the team.  We are so proud of them.  If you ever have an issue with your hospital bill(s), give our PFS team a call at (318) 283-3710.
